The Federation of three Wallonian Ensembles was an orchestra gathered exclusively for the NewAud project. Three small ensembles, all from Wallonia and all deeply engaged with new sounds, had joined forces to pursue their experiments in a larger scale.

For this concert they had set up a meeting between new and old – between the sound of the string orchestra and the possibilities of electronic distortion.

A full string orchestra and the two electronic players Henri Pousseur and Jean-Marc Sullon played music from Scotland, Canada and Lithuania – plus brand new Belgian music made on the spot.
