Thus wrote the UK newspaper The Telegraph after the previous LCO concert in the series “Imagined Occasions”. This was a cavalcade of three concerts that were site-responsive. Focusing on the music of Claude Vivier the LCO aimed to give the audience an unusual experience by choosing venues that reflected the music and where the audience’s presence became part of the concert narrative.

LCO concluded the series with a concert in “The Oval Space” - an 800 square-meter, warehouse-style space overlooking the giant landmark of a nearby gas works.
