Vandalism from Ireland and noise from Japan

Lunapark is a young ensemble, dating from 2009, and is special in many ways. Consisting of two singers and five instrumentalists Lunapark has most of their repertoire written especially for them, though they also like to take good pieces of music and arrange them for their own setup.

For this concert Lunapark had chosen a piece from the repertoire database by the Irish Donnacha Dennehy and combined it with their own arrangement of music by the Japanese Ryoji Ikeda.

Dennehy’s music is “vandalistic” and Ikeda’s music is taken from a “noisy” album. It was to be a hectic night when Lunapark gave their first contribution to the NewAud concert series!
