Klangforum Wien’s rehearsal hall is located in an up-and-coming part of Vienna, a little distance from the city centre. People from diverse cultures live and work together in this neighbourhood and are an inspiration for artists living there.

At this event Klangforum opened the doors to its venue and occupied a whole street in order to celebrate diversity and the summer together with artists from the neighbouring areas. Visitors could choose between music in the rehearsal hall, on the street, in the garage, from the windows, but they could also enjoy videos, dance and food and drink.

This informal get-together and the immediacy of the performances was aiming to reach out for a young audience.

The evening ended with a Heavy Metal DJ-set - and many interesting conversations.
